ABOUT THIS BOOK
When he was 18 months old, Wilson Ngo’s entire family fled the Khmer-Rouge in Cambodia on foot. Arriving in Vietnam the day Saigon fell, they were soon forced to flee again—this time for Thailand by boat, braving pirates and losing their family fortune on the way. Surviving a Thai refugee camp, they were finally granted asylum in Canada. In Vancouver, Wilson’s life continued to unfold in unpredictable, beautiful and often heartbreaking ways as he faced and overcame numerous challenges.
An honest and careful reflection on her late-husband’s life, Rose Ngo has drawn on interviews with Wilson’s family, his notes and their conversations to tell the story of one man’s incredible journey to find peace and faith in God.
